Bo's wrist band colors are green, yellow and red. I used some scrap Worsted yarn I had.
Double pointed 4.00 knitting needles.
Cast on 33 stitches in yellow yarn and divide evenly on 3 double pointed needles.
Using the yellow yarn work in ribbing knit 2, purl 1 pattern for 6 rounds. ( Do not break yellow yarn just carry it up when adding each color )
Add green and knit for 6 rounds in green.
With right needle reach down into the purl side and pickup the first stitch of the green color to make raised band. (see example) Place this stitch on the left needle and knit it together using yellow yarn that you used for ribbing. Keep picking up the purl stitch and knitting it together with the corresponding knit stitch all the way around. You now have a raised band. (Please note correction was made here work on your left needle not right)
Example: (you will do this on all the bands to get raised effect)
Knit 9 rounds using the yellow.
Now go down inside to the 6th purl row and pickup the purl stitches and work like you did the green. You should have 3 yellow rows after the green and then the band made of 6 yellow rows.
Knit 3 rounds in yellow.
Add the red yarn and work for 6 rounds. Do the purl pickup stitches to make the band with the yellow.
Knit one row in yellow.
Now work ribbing (knit2, purl 1) for 6 rows.
Cast off knitting the knits and purling the purl.
Well done Trisha. I love 'BO on the go' !

Do you make these and sell them? If so I would love love to buy two of them from you. This show is all my two daughters watch and they would go nuts for these. Please contact me at lefty2975@aol.com and let me know, thanks!!!
ReplyDeleteLefty my apologies. We sold our house in Oct. and moved to the new home we were building. I had no internet for several months.
